In celebration of a newly forged business relationship between Victoria Price and Margarita Waxman, the retail store in Pacheco Park is launching 15 new product lines.
The impetus behind the expansion comes from Margarita Waxman’s 25 years of retail experience in New York City. After moving to Santa Fe four years ago, Waxman said, “I would love to find a mix of products here that are more unexpected and fun - entertaining essentials with a modern twist, a surprise find, a sophisticated gift. I want people to come visit Victoria Price Art and Design and be inspired by our selection.
The new products come from a diverse range of places, including Italy, Africa, Germany, Finland, Colombia, England, and of course, the United States. They range from cutting edge Italian furniture from Moroso to the classic Finnish designs of Marimekko. Other lines, with an emphasis on green and sustainable, include tableware, glassware, home accessories, lighting and jewelry. Some of the suppliers, such as Peter Denko, Esque Studio and Green Glass are either LEED-certified or exclusively use recycled materials.
Both Price and Waxman strongly believe that Santa Feans are eager to support locally owned businesses that reflect the growing contemporary aesthetic in the region. “Our goal is to provide three things,” notes Price. “Service, style and sustainability. Our business is based on providing our clients with personalized attention and a high level of customer service. Our goal is to blend international style with the best of both historic and contemporary art and design.”
Victoria Price continues to carry the work of cutting edge contemporary designers and jewelers, as well as local artists. Her custom furniture business and the Victoria Price Collection (which sells furniture designed by Victoria and her collaborators) are also flourishing at the Pacheco Park location.
